After a bariatric surgery a patient has lo loss a weight of 9 to 18 pounds inorder to reduce the risk of chronic diseases and premature death.

The patient should have a avarage weight of 100 pounds and the 20 percent of the extra weight has to be reduced. A 50% of patient gain weight of about 5% following their surgery. The studies says that bariatric surgery patient maintain a successful weight loss for long term.
