Focused assessment examines the specific health problem in detail eg. If patient has a redness in sclera, the complete eye examination will be performed. The purpose is to diagnose, plan implement and evaluate the specific heakth problem. The focused assessment can be ongoing until the particular health problem is resolved

In complete assessment, it focus on comprehensive health system that can be head to toe or systemwise assessment. It also aims to diagnose the health probkems, for routine health check ups, to complete the patient profile during inpatient adnission in the hospital, the health check up before joining into a course or job etc.
