Diabetes is a most commonly observed disease in the society.

The important changes a newly diagnosed diabetic individual should maintain in regards to diet and nutrition are

  • Following a low carbohydrate diet,having a well balanced meal program
  • Avoid fast foods ,trans fats, artificial sweetener ,refined sugar, which are unhealthy
  • Eat small and frequent meal every three hourly  possibly for effective control of glucose level
  • The foods like fruits (carbohydrates) pulses,grains,cereals (protein) polyunsaturated fatty acids (groundout oil,gingely oil) low fat milk.
