Main barrier that prohibits nurses from engaging in EBP is

  • Over burden on nurses, increased number of patients assigned to a nurse.
  • As the work burden increased on nurses it is difficult to practice based on evidences.
  • It makes the nurses to spend less time with each patient.

Strategies to improve EBP:-

  • Reduce the number of patients assigned to a nurse
  • Provide knowledge regarding EBP
  • Conduct seminars and conferences on the topic of importance of EBP and how to implement it.
