Diagnosis:
chronic pain and schizophrenia
Chronic pain impacts patient life negatively and increases the risk of physical and mental illness like mood disorder, anxiety disorder, sleep deprivation, etc...
Treatment plan:
Psychotherapy will be helpful along with pain medication, muscle relaxant help alleviates chronic pain and mental illness at the same time.
Interventions:
Talk therapy, stress-reduction technique, pain rehabilitation program along with antidepressant medications, regular mental health screening, relaxation technique, counseling, yoga, and conservative therapies can empower the patient.
Having chronic pain along with mental illness provide poor outcomes like disability, poor activity and not cooperating with health care services.
Outcome:
The primary goal of reducing the pain with associated intervention and pain management.
Pain negatively affects the person well being. it can be on and off for them. it provides emotional stress, it changes their stress hormone levels and neurochemicals in the brain and nervous system, it affects their behavior, thinking, and mood. disturbance in the body makes a depression for many people. it provides sleep disturbance, difficulty concentration, less appetite, mood changes, anxiety, etc.
