Answer #1

ANSWER 14 :-

  1. In the glucose molecule, it can be stated that there are 'six' carbon atoms. In the structural representation, it can be seen that there are 'seven' hydrogen atoms which are attached to the six carbon atoms of the molecule.
  2. There are seven hydrogen atoms as can be seen in the image mentioned below and this indicates that the ratio of carbon bound hydrogen to carbon in glucose is 7:6. Hence, option 'B' is the most appropriate answer.

H 0 에 I = C-C-C-C-C-C-0- H) (H 도. H,

ANSWER 22 :-

  1. Glycolysis deals with the breakdown of glucose in the cytoplasm of the cell which can be considered as a catabolic process wherein complex molecules are being broken down to yield energy. In anabolic process, there is formation of molecule as can be seen in gluconeogenesis wherein there is formation of glucose molecule and this indicates that option 'A' and 'D' are not the most appropriate answers.
  2. Option 'C' indicates that Gluconeogenesis is the reverse of glycolysis. This statement is not correct as there are certain steps which are irreversible and needs additional enzymes to catalyze the four irreversible steps in which first pyruvate is converted to oxaloacetate, oxaloacetate is converted to phosphoenolpyruvate by two enzymes as the first and second step, The third irreversible step is the conversion of fructose-1,6-diphosphate to fructose-6-phosphate and the fourth step involving conversion of glucose-6-phosphate. These steps are not specifically similar to those of Glycolysis and hence option 'B' is not an appropriate answer. Thus, the most appropriate answer is option 'C' and hence as this option is correct, option 'E' cannot be considered as the most appropriate answer.

Option 'C' is the most appropriate answer.
