I admired the leadership of a coffee shop owner near my college.
I interviewed him and completed the interview write up. The most
important personality that I admired in him is the punctuality in
opening the coffee store. He was well organized with a high sense
of self-discipline in his work. He has some kind of charisma that
makes people interact with him and he becomes friends in a single
conversation. This charisma based psychological mindset is
attributed as the most important personality behind the success of
the coffee shop owner as a result of my interview.
Some of the important personality traits that I noticed in him are
the kindness shown by him to customers and employees. He is humble
creating a wonderful experience to the customers visiting the
coffee shop. He developed teamwork dealing with employees in real
time based on experience by showing them empathy. This personality
trait earned him trust among the employees and they approach him
with their personal problems and work-related problems. Based on
the interview, I found that he developed the humble trait by
remaining emotionally stable while dealing with stressful
situations and frustrations. He said that he has developed this
trait over many years of experience dealing with irate customers
and dejected employees. He said that while dealing with such
situations, he developed assertive thinking that helped him take
crucial decisions during confusing situations. These all lead to
the development of positive attitude trait that made him energetic,
optimistic and enthusiastic in the coffee shop. Based on such
real-time experiences and mistakes made in the past, he developed
the self-assurance leadership trait that kept him secure, resilient
and self-confident in crisis situations. He is polite with the
customers and the employees. He agrees with most of the customer
opinions and shows empathy on employee family and their well being.
This develops a positive outlook in the coffee shop and he manages
to get the complete cooperation of the employees in treating the
customers well and making them satisfied in the customer service.
He often interacts with the customers and keeps an open mindset in
getting their feedback. He respects the customers by implementing
their feedback in the coffee shop to improve their coffee
experience in the shop by altering the shop in a creative manner
based on the customer feedback. I have seen him cracking jokes with
the employees and customers displaying his humour ability. This
makes the entire coffee shop come alive and gets filled with
laughter. Customers love coming to the coffee shop to enjoy a
pleasant experience.
