Answer #1

60/24-25 min 2.4 units/hr Sawing 60/2 = 30 min 2 units/hr Sanding Assembly 0.7 units/hr 60/17= 85.71min Welding 5 units/hr 60

Ans a- Bottleneck operation = Sanding.

Ans b- The bottleneck operation Time = 30 min.

Sanding operation cycle time = 60min/ 2 units

{Assembly is the second bottleneck as =85.71 min/ 3 units = 28.57 min. (as these are parallel operation)}

Ans c- Through put time of overall process =152.71 minutes.

Ans d- Monthly Capacity of process = 400 units

Total Available time / Bottleneck time = (20 x10 x60)/ 30 =400 units
