Answer #1

Vascular bundle is the transport system of plant. Xylem and phloem are the main component of this transport system. The similarity between the vascular bundle of stem and leaf is that xylem and phloem both lies on the same radius which is known as conjoint vascular bundle. The major differences are: The xylem in stem is closer to the center of stem or inward (adaxial) and phloem is closer to the exterior or outward (abaxial) while in leaf veins the xylem is present towards upper side and phloem is present to ward lower side. In other words, the adaxial surface of the leaf is upper side and the lower side is abaxial. Also the bundle sheath (which surrounds vascular bundles and transport nutrients across vascular bundles) in the leaf contain mesophyll cells which provide protection to the leaf.
