2) Blood vessels : blood vessels present in the dermis helps in thermoregulation by dilation & constriction. Heat causes them to dilate & cold causes them to constrict.

Swat glands are important for thermoregulation. When the temperature increases within the body. The eccrine glands produces sweat on to the skin & cools the body.

Apocrine glands : they secrete substances having lipids & other components, so they are oily in nature. They can act as a shield when they are mixed with the sweat.

3) In mammals, they are tiny muscles linked to the hair follicles. The contractions of arrector pili muscles induces the hair to erect, which is also referred as goosebumps. The hairs stand up for trapping the air close to the skin surface in cold conditions.
