The use of social media allows training to be on demand and available when needed. How would you apply the four levels of training evaluation (reaction, learning, application, and financial return) to this type of training? Explain and elaborate with examples

True that social media has helped providing training programs on demand and available whenever needed. Increasing number of companies are ow using social media as a platform of training as it has solved the problem of employee collaboration and round the clock support, keeping trainees up-to-date and also facilitates feedback and also increase employee motivation. At four levels of training evaluation-

  1. Reaction- It is how the participants react to the training and it can take easily in terms of feedback from the customers like- is the training worth the investment, any preferred topics, what are the recommendations of trainees, etc. During online lessons trainees can give their feedback on any important issue and it is considered by the trainer for better training.
  2. Learning- It explains how much knowledge is been acquired by the trainees based upon their participation and it can be evaluated by after lecture session in Q&A session and also in the form of short test after each session on the screens of every trainee.
  3. Behaviour Application- It evaluates how much changes has been made to the behaviour of the employee when they are back to the job. Through social media, it can be analysed by connecting other colleagues and taking feedback for them on the performance of the trainee. Also, short interviews conducted after some time check the changes the behaviour of employees.
  4. Result in form of Financial return- The most important step of training valuation where the ultimate objective of Financial return is achieved or not. Social media don’t require dedicated program and can with low cost employees performance can be evaluate. Connection with employees on social profiles regular basis can help in measuring the happiness and performance level of employees. It will give idea on earnings and employees satisfaction.
