Organizational change refers to alteration that occurs in the work environment. Many organizations are trying to make changes in process so that they are at par with the present world.

I would like to bring out the changes which JP Morgan Brought about recently to its operations department. It was automation and straight-through processing where human intervention in banking transactions is reduced to a greater extent. Employees were in turn trained in other manual intervention processes, it also meant that there is a considerable saving in turn around time of transactions.

Machine learning and automation is a happening trend in today's world where every organization is trying to become efficient and more focussed on customer satisfaction.

Leaders had planned the activity well in advance and so many trials were done before automation was implemented and people were also informed to improve their skills so that they can be moved to a different department

Although human intervention is required in the system, there are changes for something going wrong due to the system issue on a large scale. So at least a skeletal staff should be there as a standby in case of requirements.

Since machine learning is continuous improvement process probable errors which have happened before should be identified and studied so that necessary changes can be implemented for the system to process correctly.

Write a reflective paragraph summarizing your thoughts. Organizational change research has been criticized for neglecting the role of history in the study of change (Pettigrew et al., 2001). Much of the existing research tends to treat organizational change as “episodic” and comprising of independent events (Pettigrew, 1987, p. 655). More generally, research in organizational behavior has tended to ignore the theoretical and methodological significance of context in the examination of work attitudes and outcomes (Johns, 2006). In the studies reported...
