what is your opinion on vegetarianism and plant protein sources? Do you think vegetarian including kids who eat only plant product can be deficient in certain nutrients? What kind of protein sources these group need to include in their diet to prevent deficiencies? How can they combine foods to get all the essential amino acids required in their diet? Vegetarian diet consist of plants and have more energy than the secondary and tertiary consumers. This is according to the 10 percent law of energy in the ecosystem. But the vegetarian diet is deficient in the essential amino acid. There are 20 amino acid, out of which 9 are non-essential and 11 are essential. The essential amino acid are those that are not produced by the human body, so they depend on plants diet and other animal diet to complete their nourishment. For example, methionine and lysine are the amino acid that are not provided by the vegetarian diet. Yes, the kid and other vegetarians who eat only plant products could be deficient of some nutrients. These vegetarians should eat different type of vegetables and fruits in order to fulfill the requirements of all the essential amino acid. . For example, the duet should have grains,sprouts, curd, milk, Brikley, mushrooms,.
