Macromolecules- These are the large biological polymers with small monomers linked up.

example- nucleic acid, lipid, carbohydrates and proteins

dialysis or osmosis might be utilized to perform filtration or exchange for samples containing macromolecules. It is also used to change the salt concentration (micromolecules) of a solution.

Real life examples- using saline solution fir contact lenses
