Toy or game 1: as a kid i was always gifted a 'kitchen set' which i enjoyed playing with a lot. I think for girls, they loved playing with it because they liked imitating their mothers who were more involves with cooking and the household work then men. this reinforces the notion that as girls grow up, they need to take up the responsibility of the household work more than men

Toy or game 2: boys are often gifted toys like cars, bike, planes, whereas, girls are given barbie dolls to play. this reinforces the notion that girls should be more into playing dress up, trying different hair styles and focus on looks while boys should be more interested in automobiles and it should not be vice-versa. this creates a notion that girls are associated with 'taking care behavior' and boys are considered to be more 'rough and tough'
