Answer :
Vulnerable populations are the patients who are economically disadvantaged , racial and ethnic minorities , the uninsured ,low income people ,infants ,children , pregnant mothers ,lactating mothers ,elderly populations etc .

Experience with vulnerable population :
As a health care provider We have the responsibility to provide quality care to the patients for their early recovery .
For children :
Children are the people who dependent for everything upon the mother and family members .
Especially infants need the more care from the mother ,mother should provide exclusive breast feeding to maintain the health of the infant .
As a health care provider We need to educate the mother about importance of exclusive breat feeding to mother .
Breast milk provides all the essencial nutrients for growth and development of infant .
Infant need more care than others because they may get infections early compared to others because of their immature immune system .
Educate the mother to immunise the baby accordingly to prevent 7 vaccine preventable diseases.
For pregnant mother :
Pregnant mother also vulnerable people because she is bearing the baby and she needs extra care for the health care providers .
She should take iron rich diet and protein rich diet and other essential nutrients for the growth and development of foetus .
She should go for antenatal check ups at least 4 visits are needed to know the health status of preganant mother and also prevent the labour complications and risks of pregnancy period .
In later months of pregnancy she needs assistance of other people to complete her works such as cooking , washing , etc .
For children :
Malnutrition is the major risk factor in the children ,because of poor care of children ,poverty ,low socio economic status and poor diet .
If We take the poverty , who are the low income family children dont have the adequate food to eat and they may have the more nutrition deficiency disorders .
Poor parents can't able to provide the adequate diet for children so they are facing malnutrition disorders .
For elderly :
Elderly people also dependent populations because they cant do their work and they need assistance for money ,food and health care and every thing .
We need to provide quality care to elderly people .
As a health care providers We need to provide safe environment for elderly such as providing wheel chairs , bed rails , handles in bathroom and keeping floor dry to prevent from falls .
Health care providers should involve the family members to take care of elderly and support the elderly in ADL s .
Ventilated patients :
For the ventilator cases, they are totally dependents ,sometimes they are in coma .
As a health care providers We need to provide all the care such as her bath , mouth care ,skin care ,suctioning ,chest physiotherapy ,nutrition and providing medications etc .
For patients with chronic conditions :
We need to educate the patients to avoid risk factors as possible
Ex : patient with lung cancer , advice the patient to stop smoking and alcohol drinking etc .
Educate the patients about ntrition ,physical activity , practicing healthy habits and excercises etc .
