What was Freud’s view of human nature? Religion? What was his hope for humankind?
Freud is more passionate about the concept of human nature that he described in his famous book titles “The Future of an Illusion” that deals with major accomplished goal on religion. In this book, he postulated that the criteria of religion come under the category of feelings of human security and helplessness that create a powerful entity to symbolize in the form of a God.
Freud keeps the framework of human minds under the mindset of a child-like that thinks at rational level. According to Freud, the religion tells about the dogmatic teachings that support a more realistic and rational kind of approach in day to day life. The basic hope of interest comes under the repressed forces that motivate for living rational types of lives. He believed that humans confront reality conditions without the religious belief and presenting intoxicating illusions.
According to Freud’s belief, religious illusions would be replaced by the guidance of scientific concepts that are considered to be comforting and flattering in a rationalistic way. Science is also considered as an illusion that gets intimated with the thoughts of religious belief in a logistic view of manner.
