SUGAR is a crystalline substance derived from plants mainly sugar cane . It is not bad or toxic until the limit of its intake increase the normal range . Like everything has a limit and when that limit is crossed adverse effects happen ,same way intake of sugar more than the normal limit leads to development of diabetes and it's associated complications like diabetic nephropathy, neuropathy and retinopathy , diabetic ketoacidosis .

Sugar is an important component for the growth and development and metabolic activity as it is one of the form of carbohydrates and provides energy to function well .It can be monitored by the use of glucometer which is a machine to check the glucose levels in blood
