-- Importance of the nursing process to nursing:
--The nursing process is a basement of practice for the nursing. This will also provide a strong structure for thinking through the problems and also gives organizations to a nurse's sudden thinking skill. And it is one of the instrument which is used in the nursing care.
-- It includes many steps like ,
-- Assessing: Here the data collection, validating the date and data documenting of patients occurs.
-- Diagnosis: Checking the data of the patient, knowing all the health problems of the patient and also knowing the risks of that health problem.
-- Planning: Understanding the problems or diagnoses the prepare for the desired outcomes or goals and start to write the nursing involvement.
-- Implementing: Now the nursing interventions should be implemented, give the care for the patient and the nursing actions should be documented.
-- Evaluating: Get all the data of the outcomes.Do the comparison that it meets the previous goals or outcomes. Then come in a conclusion about the problems.
-- The main aim of this nursing process is to know the health status of the patient ,and check the problems that they are facing, and make the idea to treat them and get them all the care that they should get for that particular disease.
-- Importance of cultural competencey of nurse;
-- The cultural respect is very important to decrease health disparities and to give high quality healthcare that is reactive to the needs of patients.
-- The nurse need to be reactive to changing patient demographics to give the culturally sensitive caring.
-- For example when i was working at my hospital , suddenly an olde spanish guy was brought to the emergency room by his wife and son He is a person who is having a history of 2 megacardial infractions, and now we had found that hehave another .And during the assessment he said that , other than coming to this hospital, he was following the old way of death. And now he makes his mind and become ready to die. After that the emergency room bought the intravenous fluids and a catheter and which is transferred to the intensive care unit of a regional hospital. The patient died 3 weeks and given mechanical ventilation for much of that time. Other than his wife no one came because of the high travel cost. Now what happens is that the guys cultural values in connection with dying was disregarded.
-- So this culturally competent nursing care promotes the nurses work very efficiently with the other professionals and knowing the requirements of groups accessing healthcare and the information about the health.
-- What is important when interviewing a patient for admission into a healthcare facility:
-- At first the patients full health information data should be collected then that clients can get the correct care that they need.
-- Other than asking the questions to the patients the health assessment is more good because it helps to create a nurse-patient relationship and which helps the patients to feel more care and support.
-- Active listening is one of the most important thing that a nurse should have and even simply listening to the patients talk the nurses should check the body languages and should be able to understand the patients emotions. So active listening is very important.
-- Adaptive questioning is another important thing that a nurse should follow during the questioning .The nurses should get every information about the patients problems through this questioning rather than a simple questioning conversation. And the nurse can ask for additional information for clarifying any statement that has been said by the patient.
THANKS!!!!
