Quality improvement tools are standalone strategies that help for better understanding and communication for quality improvement efforts. plan-do-check-Act(PDCA) as a QI framework to improve strategies and DMAIC quality improvement projects with community involvement.
DMAIC measure, analyze, improve the process with a data-driven quality strategy to improve the process. It implements a standalone quality improvement procedure as an initial plan. It is a six sigma tool for quality improvement. But it has a potential barrier with a lack of leadership commitment, poor understanding methodology, and execution.
PDCA cycle is a four-step problem-solving strategy that is a useful tool to help to solve the problem more effectively. It stimulates continuous improvement of people and QI process on a small scale it causes the best solutions in a controlled environment. It has a barrier with under resources, poor leadership, changes are large scale and it is unrealistic that cause poor quality process.
