The civil rights act 1964 had a huge impact on the health care as it is outlawed discrimination of the race, sex, religion or national origin. Changes were seen when white coloured signs from facilities were removed.
The health care providers also faced a drastic effects due to this act as they were also removed from their duties. The patients had increased mortality and morbidity as the treatment was based on the colour of the individuals present in the US.
