1, Anxiety disorder
Symptoms:
- Restlessness
-Agitation (high heart beat,sweating,shaking,dry mouth)
- Confusion
-Fatigue
- Irritation
-Muscle tension
- sleep disturbance
-fear and unpleasant
-depression
-low self-esteem
-high self-criticism
2, Generalized anxiety disorder: People will have more anxiety more than 6 months related with social,work,school they have symptoms like irritable,mind swing, fatigue,restless,worry,sleep disturbance..
Phobia related disorder: It is one kind of fear and actual danger caused by object or situation..people experience more anxiety on situation or object and taking serious steps to stop it, treating the things with intense anxiety..
social anxiety disorder: Here people have intense tense with social situation..it will be negatively evaluate by others..they fear for standing in public,open space or crowd like to being outside or anywhere alone..This situation called agoraphobia..
Panic disorder: There will be fear attack..suddenly appear for a minute due to things or objects..They have symptoms of palpitation,sweating,shaking,shortness of breath..
separation anxiety disorder: This fear due to being separated from anyone..They have nightmares,depression etc..
3, triggers of anxiety disorders are Stress regarding work,marriage,finance,medical illness,trauma,medicine side effects,drug usage symptoms of chronic illness,pulmonary dysfunction..
4, Avoidant behavior that patient shows to lack of interest to interact with group.They avoid social events,..irritation for simple things,irrational thoughts,too much worrying,they will not concentrate in any thing, nail biting,skin picking, pulling out hair, biting the teeth,intake of alcohol,difficult digestion,poor eating habits,sweaty palms,flushing,trembling being judged,more self-conscious..
coping style as problem -focused instrument this coping mechanism method help dealing with people emotional problem..
we should not stop the behavior when a patient is showing anxiety..it will increase the patient anxiety level..encourage them self-management strategies like relaxation and controlled breathing which help manage the anxiety..Avoid comment like 'just relax', don't worry, 'everything will be okay',the patient will thing the nurse really do not know their problem..Don't force them with situation to change..provide support and socialization help them to share their feelings..
