1. Amphipathic alpha helix is the seceondary structural motif in biologically active proteins which consist of both polar and nonpolar opposing faces along the long axis of the helix.

2. Phosphodiester bond; The two adjacent nucleotide in a strand of DNA attaches through phosphodiester bond while two nucleotide between two strand of DNA attaches through hydrogen bonds.

3. ΔG0 (delta G naught prime) is defined as the change in free energy of a reaction under standard conditions. Standard conditions indicate: Initial concentration of all reactants and products should be 1.0 M, Temperature should be 25°C, and pressure should be 1.0 atm.

Allosteric site: Allosteric site indicates the sites other than active site.

Transition state: Transition state of a reaction is defined as the state at which the higher potential energy persist along the reaction coordinate. Since this state has highest energy, stability at this stage is minimum.
