ANSWER-
According to me, A leader is the person who has a vision or dream which encourages others to move or work in order to achieve that dream or vision. A leader is the person who has followers means without followers no one can be a leader.Leadership and management can be said different. it is just perception where some thinks both are same and some thinks both are different.The main difference between the two is that leaders have people that follow them, while managers have people who simply work for them.In management, Manager needs to be a successful leader but in leadership, it is not necessary that leader should be a manager.
for example- A politician can be a good leader but he is not the manager just like Union leaders are the leader of workers but they are not manager.
I witness both good leader as well as good manager in organizations where A good manager was effectively using his skills to train, motivate their employees and giving personal support to make employee more inclusive in the organization.He provided assistance to employees who needed help in the work, communicate policies and strategies to lower level employees made by top management of the organization.
the Good leader was in the school where management of the school was trying to cut salary of the teachers and increasing work load on them so one teacher among the staff motivate and encourage the teacher's staff to fight for their rights and make management of school understand that how teachers are important for school and how should be they treated properly.
These managers and leaders help me to improve my learning, skills, perception related to conditions where i can use those to become a successful leader by managing my workforce in future.I think All good managers must be good leaders to be effective because then managers would be able to encourage and motivate their employees to improve their performance and achieve their common objective. if manager is not a leader then employees would not have clear goals and objectives and direction to follow.
