Assume that the gene "T" codes for tall peas and the gene "t" codes for dwarf peas and T is dominant over t. The genotype if the tall pea plant is Tt (heterozygous) and the genotype of dwarf pea plant is tt. Now, the cross between these two plants will have the offspring with the following genotypes.

Tt* tt = Tt, Tt, tt, tt

Thus, the 50% of the offspring contains the genotype Tt with tall phenotype

Another 50% of the offspring contains the genotype tt with dwarf phenotype
