1. Why is the l.r (limit of resolution) important for microscopic observations? Based on the Abbe equation, why would a microscope with an electron source provide a lower l.r (limit of resolution) than a light microscope?

1. Limit of resolution is important for the microscopic observation because it define the ability of a microscope to shortest distance between two points on the micrograph that we can easily distinguished . According to Abbe equation, the resolving power of microscope is dependent on the wavelength of the source. Less is the wavelength , more is the resolving power of microscope and less is the limit of resolution. As, electron have low wavelength as compared to light, electron microscope have high resolving power and low limit of resolution.

2. Condenser is the component of microscope used to enhance the contrast. The light colored part of image get decreased by increasing the contrast and dark color part of image get increased by decreasing the contrast.
