Hydrocodone and acetaminophen(Paracetamol)
7.5mg/325mg or 10mg/325mg
Dose, route, and frequency - It is available as a form of tablet and infusion from. The dose is according to pain but the limitation is up to 40mg of Hydrocodone. Route IV and Oral. Frequency 6 hourly or sos.
Classification - Hydrocodone is an opioid analgesic and acetaminophen(Paracetamol) is a plain analgesic and antipyretics.
Purpose - Reduce Pain
Side effects - Dieaseness, nausea, and vomiting, sedation, constipation, respiratory depression, skin rash in rare cases.
Nursing Implication - These both medications are safe but the nurse should look for any liver or kidney abnormalities before administration.

Losartan
Dose, route, and frequency - Usual dose 50 to 100mg. Route orally. Frequency is once a day
Classification - It is an ACE inhibitor
Purpose - To treat hypertension
Side effects - Chest pain, Abdominal, and chest pain, Nausea
Nursing Implications - Nurse should know the dose and check blood pressure before administration to avoid hypotension.

Clopidogrel
Dose, route, and frequency - Usually dose is 300mg loading followed by 75mg once a day. Route orally. Frequency is once a day.
Classification - Antiplatelet
Purpose - To reduce platelet aggregation in blood vessels.
Side effects - Bleeding
Nursing Implications - Nurse should obtain any recent history of surgery, internal bleeding, and ulcers.
