The original cross of A B x a b is shown in the diagram. The recombinant progeny is shown to be 50% of the total progeny. The other 50% have the same genotypes as the parents.
When the parental genotypes are changed to a B x A b the cross will be changed entirely. The diploid genotype will not change but the genotype of the recombinants will change. The genotype of the recombinants would be AB and ab.
