one can consider communication to be completed if the information given to someone shared properly and it received properly (reciprocal nature, hence to avoid miscommunication which usually results in poor expectations where it costs both physically and financially in case of biomedical field). A medical office manager can easily increase their efficiency as well as effectiveness while communicating through its various techniques and tools whether those skills are of personal nature or professional nature. Better communication also helps in understanding the quality of care of patients. There are various techniques i.e. one on one interaction, office e-mail, group setting, written communication.
If the information which you want to communicate is in concise and clear nature then it will be very much effective. Five W's must be taken care on any issue regarding group setting i.e. who, what, why, where, when and one H i.e How must also be included.
who- who needs this prescription or information (accountability)
what- steps to be taken (resources, conditions)
why- why this information is important for you.
where- where these work such as meeting be taking place.
when- when meeting will be taking place (feedback regarding this)
how- how will you measure this success (how to evaluate its results)
Feedback is very important while talking about effective communication (creates accountability). Active listening means a listener can firstly listens it properly then it will be written in their own words which must be further communicated properly. If such words are correct then information communicated is completed otherwise it is a case of miscommunication.
Advantages of effective communication-
clear communication saves both money and time and we can easily ensure by knowing its expectations and need. It also provides a sense of respect which is considered as crucial for office enthusiasm and morale which results into success of an office.
