Being a student in all of the hospitals made me realize how important it is to communicate with patients about each step of their care. Many times I have witnessed healthcare providers talking to one another about the care, however, the main patient never gets the whole picture. They have gaps in information, and are struggling to understand what is wrong with them at the moment. Providing proper communication and filling in the knowledge deficits will not only be able to make the patient a better version of being their own healthcare advocate, but will also encourage compliance once they leave the hospital.

Communication is very important in providing the quality of care to the patients. The communication removes the barrier of misunderstanding as well as enable patient to understand things more clearly. The gap of communication can cause poor quality of care provided to the patients. The effective communication increases the efficacy of treatment.

The question arises that in the case of cultural differences where the patient does not able to understand the language, how the gap of communication can be removed?
